Waste segregation in more KMC wards in 6 months

Jolted from its slumber following a National Green Tribunal (NGT) order that imposed a heavy fine on the state government for failing to act on its earlier order about segregating and managing waste, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) top brass has decided to extend the domestic waste segregation initiative from 27 wards at present to at least 100 wards within the next six months.
