KMC mulls lease fee hike for 'rags-to-riches' plots

Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has decided to revisit lease agreements that it had signed decades ago to part with land that were then considered unproductive but have since become major revenue earners for the lessees, who had bagged them either free-of-cost or at a nominal rate.
