Kolkata: Bus passenger molested, accused held

A 28-year-old woman alleged that she was molested in a private bus while alighting at the Park Street-Jawaharlal Nehru Road crossing on Saturday morning. The woman, who was shocked that a man more than twice her age could commit such a crime in public, burst into tears, which raised an alarm among her co-passengers and bystanders. When the accused, 52-year-old Jaychand Mondal from Hindmotor, tried to flee, bystanders and cops chased him down to the TAI Grounds. Mondal was handed over to Park Street police, who arrested him.
