Kol: Bus, auto routes around Tallah realigned

Learning from the initial commuting chaos in the aftermath of the Majerhat bridge collapse, the transport department has drawn up a detailed plan to be implemented in Tallah from February 1, when the Tallah Bridge will be closed for razing. Additionally, pedestrian movement and safety will be on top of the police agenda as they prepare to divert vehicles into narrower roads from midnight on Friday. The emphasis came after back-to-back fatal accidents in the area over the past two days. Senior traffic officers led by joint CP (traffic) Santosh Kumar spent several hours in and around Tallah Bridge on Thursday as the top brass took stock of the possible challenges that may come up.
