Chief minister Mamata Banerjee described former Indian captain and BCCI president-designate Sourav Ganguly as Bengal’s “own boy” after Ganguly’s meeting with Amit Shah set off a buzz over his joining politics. The former cricketer met the Union home minister hours before he filed nomination for the plum post.
