Kolkata: No buses on Tallah bridge from Sunday

Any vehicle that weighs more than 3 tonnes will not be allowed to ply on Tallah Bridge from Sunday morning, the state government announced on Friday. The announcement effectively made the bridge out of bounds for all buses. Thus, all buses plying on the 57-year-old bridge will be diverted till further notice. While some buses will be provided alternative alignments, some of the routes will be terminated in and around the area.
